Seeing Eye has a Toyota Prius that they use during training. I can hear them coming unless there is other traffic. Then too, I play a good bit of golf and the first time I heard a hybrid I asked if someone was driving a golf cart on the street. Just last weekend I took my dog over to a local golf course where electric golf carts abound and talked some folks into letting us walk out in front of their golf carts so that both dog and I could get some idea about this whole hybrid car Bravo Sierra.
