Hi,

Actually, this is not a mold issue.

The sofas are not in the area of the house, affected by the water.
This is just odors from years of usage and things being spilled on them, etc.
We've had this furniture for about 6 years now, so it's time for a good
cleaning!

Claudia

  Claudia,

There is a process used by high end automotive detailers to remove mold,
mill due, cigarette smoke and other permanent odor from car interiors. The
bad news is the name of the process escapes me for the moment however, I
know a guy who does it and I will give him a call and ask him what the
process is and if it will work on household upholstery.

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Eliminating Odors from Sofas?

  hi,

Is there something I can do, to help eliminate odors from sofas? We've had
them, since we moved into this house, six years ago now, and
they're still in good condition, but we need to get them professionally
  cleaned!

Things like Fabreeze just mask odors, so I stopped using things like that,
  some time ago!
How can I get the sofas cleaned?
  Thanks.
  Claudia
