I had an Oreck at one time, this was probably about 15 years ago. The  
only thing I did not like about it is the fact that it could not  
handle large amounts of dog hair. Well lets just say that 3 German  
Shepherds despite a great deal of grooming still leave hair piles in  
various places. So, I am curious how they've changed. Of course I also  
like the machines that do not use bags, but this is just my preference.
