I needed to put a longer a.c. cable on my oreck as it seemed a bother to not be able to go from one end of the house to the other. Hardware store, $1 per additional foot, and $2.49 for the new plug. I kept the old plug as it had a cable clamp in it. I used a wire tie to hold it to the underside of the handle.
