And trying to walk with a 30 month old and a 6 month old, isn't all that fun. Although we go outside for walks, but with small children, it is harder to walk fast. $1000.00 treadmill is much cheaper than a hospital stay for a heart attack. I ruined two treadmills this way. Doctors say that just plane walking is almost as effective as walking on a treadmill so I do my walking in the house.
