Yes.
In roman times and onward, throughout Europe were spas, or in Germany called
Baden in which the waters supposedly had healing and healthy properties.
One such town was/is Epsom about 10 miles east of here where I live.
They taste absolutely awful, but purge the gastro-intestinal system quite
well!
They can also be used for Christmas decorations by dissolving g them into
water in a high solution. Painting the resultant solution on mirrors or
glass and leaving it to set.
The result is a frost-look-alike appearance.
After the season, it can be washed off.
