Hello! Personally, I wouldn't put citronella candles in a crockpot because you'd have a royal mess if the crockpot were knocked over or you had wax drip. I have a citronela plant which works great! But...you could put the candle in something that's not flammable, but that is disposable and then light the candle with a lighter or with a long, wooden kitchen match. You can also find long plastic utensils with kind of a trigger-like lever that might be more comfortable for you to handle. These things are used a lot for fireplaces. I light candles over the sink and then put them in a coffee or tuna can to carry them.

I was sitting outside for a little while becoming the main course for some of these bugs. She is not at home and I am uncomfortable about burning the candles on the front porch. Is there something that a blind individual can use to safely burn these scented candles? I thought about getting a small crock pot and putting the scented wax inside and turning it on for the effect. Not sure if this would work or how long would it have to be on before it melted the wax. --- Please visit my home page; it is motivational, inspirational and humorous with many resources for the blind. http://www.LennyMcHugh.com ------------------------------------ Send any questions regarding list management to: [email protected] To listen to the show archives go to link http://www.acbradio.org/pweb/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_p age&PAGE_id=33&MMN_position=47:29 Or ftp://ftp.acbradio.org/acbradio-archives/handyman/ The Pod Cast address for the Blind Handy Man Show is. http://www.acbradio.org/news/xml/podcast.php?pgm=saturday Visit The Blind Handy Man Files Page To Review Contributions From Various List Members At The Following address: http://www.jaws-users.com/JAWS/handyman/ Visit the archives page at the following address http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ If you would like to join the JAWS Users List, then visit the following address for more information: http://www.jaws-users.com/ For a complete list of email commands pertaining to the Blind Handy Man list just send a blank message to: [email protected]!
