actually David, I got sighted help for that one. years ago when we put up a stockade fence and used 4 by 4 treated posts . we waited until all the posts were up and the fence was installed and then rran a bubble line which is no more than a line with a little sliding bubble and make a mark and then I had someone with a god electric chain saw make those cuts. of course there are other saws one can use but that way to the sighted neighbor it all looks uniform..Lee
