Hi, I need a lesson in Science 101 apparently, so here goes!
Is there really a dramatic difference between plugging appliances directly into outlets or having them connected to a power strip and shutting that off, at the end of the day? How much current are unused appliances actually using, if they're off but still plugged in, to a wall outlet?
