Hi Jennifer, well that would be a fine idea, but based on my rough measurements, there would not be enough space in the wall because there is a return duct on one side that would not interfere with moving the switch, but would for making such a door and the other side is the utility rom, so no wall to tuck that into. Not a bad idea and actually I'm beginning to wonder and need to grab a magnet, but there may be a steel support pole that might also be what is in my way. Hmmmm, I'll find out soon enough. If there is enough room for that single gang box, it will work. grin
