Ed, I believe that there is 30 and 50 pound Propane tanks. The 100 pounder tanks only hold a little over 23 gallons of Propane in them that is not all that much for storage amount. Also I believe that Propane is about 4.3 pounds per gallon. Hi all, Thanks for the help on my propane tank size question. From your answers and what I've found on the Internet, it would appear that propane tanks jump from 20 LB tanks to 40 LB tanks then up to 100 LB tanks. I really don't want to deal with a 100 LB tank in my garage. I'm sure there are all kinds of town ordinances one must follow to keep that much propane in a home and I'd rather not get into home delivery. I've pretty much decided to keep two 40 LB tanks in the garage. This will give me a sizeable supply and I will have plenty of time to refill one tank while I'm using the other. Thanks again. Take care, Ed Przybylek [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
