Absolutely correct. CNAME = EVIL. Also, another thing that I would avoid is using a box as its own resolver. ie: in the TCP/IP nameserver settings, don't put in 127.0.0.1 or the box's own IP address. Use a dedicated (reliable!) resolver. Pretty much every ISP provides resolvers for customer use. We provide no fewer than 4 local resolvers for our colocation and dedicated server customers, and of course they're free to use any external resolver (4.2.2.2, 8.8.8.8, etc) they would like. -- Chris Gebhardt VIRTBIZ Internet Services Access, Web Hosting, Colocation, Dedicated www.virtbiz.com | toll-free (866) 4 VIRTBIZ _______________________________________________ Blueonyx mailing list Blueonyx@mail.blueonyx.it http://mail.blueonyx.it/mailman/listinfo/blueonyx
