Is your text wrapped in <p>, <li>, or simply in <div>s? Text in divs doesn't have margin-bottom.
Don't hesitate to have a look at the CSS code, it's best to know what's happening so you don't add conflicts in your custom CSS. If that doesn't help, please post a link so we can help you better.
