I'll change this from "Voters are given as many votes to cast as there are
positions to fill" to "Voters may cast up to as many votes as there are
positions to fill". I'll circulate another draft later today after waiting to
see if there are any other clarifications that people want to add.

Hi Mike
It is not clear if a voter must cast all 7 votes or only as many as they want
to cast. ie, can they just vote for 5 candidates?

Good job, Mike. It sounds a little formal in places, but then, it is a formal
doc about election procedures, so I'm cool with it. It addresses every corner
case I can think of.
Once the board has reviewed it I'd suggest we turn it into a web page or wiki
page. I'm willing to do the latter if that's the consensus (someone with web
site access with have to do the former if it is preferred).

A draft documenting the procedures we agreed to and handling corner cases such
as ties is enclosed. It also includes the language about a nominating
committee that was previously circulated and generated no opposition (and which
is inoperative in this election because we selected no nominating committee).
Timely feedback welcome.
