Scott, 2K might be a lot if it only needs an hour or two of work. I can't judge since I don't know what's broken nor know Rails, but sometimes the ease with paying others by you is amazing. :-)

I suggest to evaluate what's really broken in the code, call out at general who can fix it and wait for replies. Adding possible payment might speed it up. That could be 200 bucks instead of 2K.

I'm not saying it's not worth it, just saying that you seem to go the easiest route paying others without trying other things first. For what do we have a community?
