hi everyone. sorry, i'm a bit behind in my boin projects/binc dev
mailing lists.

glad there's been interest in PTP ~

and thanks for the feedback here.

some feedback on a few key/repeated issues --

* there is no need to install a PTP client to participate. when you
register, the first question asks "new to volunteer computing?" and
if you say "no, i have a boinc account" then the path is essentially
to attach to PTP as you would an AMS -- ie, think of PTP as a
facebook-based AMS. you can use any boinc client, 5.4.11 or later.
(there is no need to join at GR first.)

* from PTP there are various links that essentially transfer you to
GR (via a transparent login): from here you can add or edit projects,
preferences, etc. (you can also change your name, email, and your
password at all projects from a central UI. this functionality is
accessed via the "home" page once in GR. so it's a bit indirect, but
click any button on the dashboard, then click "home" once in GR, then
"my account".)

* internationalization of the FB app is hopefully in the not-too-
distant future. as you might imagine, it seemed best to get it
online and working in one language before expanding.

still a lot to do, so i might again lag in replies here.

best wishes,

...matt
