Saturday, 21 January
Kick-off: 1500 GMT
BBC Radio Five Live
---------------------------------
Bolton's Ivan Campo looks likely to return with Hidetoshi Nakata suspended
and Gary Speed
likely to be out. Henrik Pedersen has an Achilles problem and Jay-Jay Okocha,
El-Hadji Diouf,
Abdoulaye Faye and Radhi Jaidi are all away on African Cup of Nations duty.
Manchester City's
Nedum Onuoha is set to start alongside Sylvain Distin in defence with Richard
Dunne a doubt and
David Sommeil suspended. Danny Mills and Claudio Reyna are out but Ben
Thatcher is back after
a ban.

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce:
"Stuart Pearce's short record reads very well. He is doing the best out of what
he has got.
"With support from good backroom staff, he is managing a fantastic club with a
great history.
"Stuart's got limited resources but if he gets it right those resources will
get bigger and
better."
Manchester City manager Stuart Pearce:
"We have picked up with some decent displays since Christmas and have had
back-to-back wins.
"We need to forget the victory against Manchester United and concentrate on a
very hard-to-beat
Bolton side. "The next two games will have a massive bearing on where we
finish at the end of
the season."

BIG-MATCH FACTS
BOLTON WANDERERS and Manchester City meet for the 100th time in a League derby,
and there's
little to choose in the head-to-head standings or in their current League
positions. City lead
by 39 wins to 38 with 22 of the previous 99 encounters drawn, but the Trotters
are one place
and two points higher in the Premiership table. A 100th League win under Sam
Allardyce, coupled
with a win or a draw by Middlesbrough over Wigan at the Riverside, would lift
Bolton into the
top six.
Since suffering defeat by Everton in their opening home match, Bolton have not
lost in eight
Premiership games at the Reebok, winning five and drawing three. The last two
were drawn,
against Aston Villa (1-1) and Liverpool (2-2). The Trotters have only shipped
four home League
goals - a Premiership best, equal with Arsenal and Liverpool.
Wanderers won 0-1 at the City of Manchester City Stadium in September when the
visitors
snatched a dramatic late winner through a stoppage time penalty converted by
Gary Speed. It
leaves Bolton hunting a first ever Premiership 'double' over the Citizens and
an 11th over them
since their first League encounter in 1900.
MANCHESTER CITY make the short journey in search of the victory that would see
them leapfrog
Bolton, take their total of Premier League victories all time to 100, and their
tally of League
points since Stuart Pearce has been in charge to 50. City are facing
back-to-back local
derbies, following last weekend's thrilling 3-1 victory over United, but have
not claimed
consecutive League wins in 13 outings, since Everton and West Ham were eclipsed
in successive
fixtures at Eastlands on 2 and 16 October respectively.
Both of these clubs have never done better at this stage of a Premiership
season. City have
won nine and lost nine of their 22 Premiership matches this term. Bolton too
have won nine yet
find themselves ahead of the Citizens despite scoring five fewer goals (25 to
30). Bolton have
claimed five scalps at home, City have been beaten five times away. City's only
victories on
the road have come against Birmingham, Sunderland and Charlton.
City are chasing a third successive Premiership victory at the Reebok. They won
1-3 in
February 2004, and 0-1 ten months later. Joey Barton's goal secured the points
in last season's
corresponding fixture, when both clubs were on the slide.
