Ahhh. True. This is because the <box> markup is rendered before the /= =/ markup.
I will change this for the next release. Just open markups.php and swith line 13 with lines 14&15. Of course this opens up the reverse problem of what happens when you put: /= =/ inside a <code> tag. I guess we'll never escape every conflict. Still the changed order is better.
