Hi Dan, first of all I should explain that I (at least in the beginning) will be the only editor an content creator of the new site. The consumer of the information should be able to choose between the offered languages through a menu (breadcrumb style or drop down box) so that he will see the corresponding version of the page.
Now, what I would like to have for me as the editor is a convenient way to translate the pages one by one from the default language to any of the other languages I want to offer. For example consider the Typo3 CMS which I know a little bit. There you can have a list view indicating which translations of which pages are missing. I mean ok, this is really very advanced and maybe a bit oversized for a wiki solution. For my needs it would suffice to visit page after page, identify easily which translations are missing and perform the missing translations _without_ having to worry about the structure of the page and its language-specific url.
