I'e just got my Boom up and running again, I used the re-foam rings from
speakerrepair, (F3Ct3 & their glue), it sounds as good as ever I
remember it :)

Thanks to *pbroughton* for his clear dissembly instructions, I finished
up removing the white ribbon cable from the faceplate end, (it was easy
enough to reconnect), I couldn't get the 8 pin speaker connector
reseated without doing so. For me, refixing the 8 pin connector was by
far the hardest part of the whole job.

I also managed to collapse both tweeter dustcaps, they stand proud of
the front baffle and if laid face down will flatten. I'd recommend
laying the baffle across a suitably sized book or similar so that the
tweeters overhang each side. One dustcap popped back out easily enough,
but the other was a beast to get right, but they both work okay now and
don't seem to have been affected sound quality wise.
