Well, there was lib issue 127 (plus a couple of NAD), which is now part of TC1. There's also at least one core DR related to auto_ptr, so it can be useful to check both issue lists. I think you've heard about "auto_ptr update" in relation to Scott Meyer's MEC++. But that's an update _ to the book _, not to the standard.
