Solving a problem is not OT.
But the divergence into FTP servers, tar, etc was getting to be so.

Note, I did provide a perfectly meaningful response and useful solution
for Perl. Even if it was rather slow to get out, (responded immediately after
I got Uri's and it took quite some time trickle down.)

I wansn't trying to be a Nazi, or dictator of the list. But it just seemed
like a thread which had the potential to go unfruitfully for quite sometime,
due to the vagaries of the question itself. And I was somewhat right. Afterall,
look at how many responses snuck in between Uri's first post and my first post.
And Ant didn't seem any more satisifed.
