When I started, there was a bar that my co-workers called the "R" bar,
since it had a neon sign "BAR" with two of the letters burned out. The
glasses were dirtier than the floors of most bars, and the bartender
practically laughed when I tried to order a glass of wine the one time
I was there. I think it was on the corner of Congress and A Street.
Marc would remember the real name (not that he was ever there, just
because he remembers everything.) It had a restaurant on the upper
floor. The one time that they had a company-wide breakfast there, Rich
Farrell claimed the food made him ill. (I didn't hear about any ill
effects from anyone else.)
If this is the place you are thinking of, it closed down close to a
year ago.
