Here's the directions I usually give: >From the MBTA: Take the Red Like to the Kendall Square stop. Walk through the lobby of the Mariott Hotel (which is right by the subway exit) and cross to the other side of the street. Follow the street to the left for a couple blocks. You'll pass over the railroad tracks, after which the sidewalk bears right. Follow the sidewalk until you reach a bunch of free newspaper boxes, shortly before the first cross street.
