some other places we have been:

fire + ice (harvard sq)

my wife and i went there last thursday afternoon after seeing a matinee
of LotR at the harvard sq theater. it was about 3:45 and so empty that
we had our food grilled as soon as we got our bowls filled. maybe we
should meet there at that time of day. :)

sunset grill and tap (allston)

last time, tony bowden (of blackstar fame) picked up the tab. we need to
invite him over the pond again (he was on the cruise) :)

we have been to cambridge brewing often enough. i recall one trip to BBW
(is that the one next to fenway) a long time ago. there are other brew
pubs we should visit.

in the summer we have had parties at a couple of homes the last two
years. let's plan for one this year.

one issue always is location. we like T access and inside 128 for most
of us. what about pub chains like chili's or similar? or ethnic
restaurants like ole's in inman sq. i like the arlington branch a lot
and it just enlarged.

we could also pick a more upscale place maybe once a year. plenty to
choose from.

just musing,

uri
