I'm guessing that during your CPAN configuration, you were asked where's
your FTP program, or your gunzip program, and you hit 'y' when you meant
to hit 'enter'....  you need to look at your CPAN config (in interactive
mode, type 'o conf')...

then, either fix it one by one, or rerun the config (which I forget how
you do)...
