---

A client has an opening for a combination sysadmin and Perl
developer. It is about 30% admin work and 70% Perl hacking. It is a
virtual company and the job is 100% telecommute. They also need some
more Perl developers.

The company provides web development for a large retail company.

The admin work is a typical broad spectrum of admin tasks: setting up
new machines, apache configuration, user management, raid disk recovery,
etc. There are about 100 servers split 80% Solaris and 20% linux all in
colocation facilities with remote console access.

They have a primary admin who needs a partner and someone to back him up
(vacations, some coverage, crunch time, etc.). He handles most of the
emergency calls but this job may need to handle some.

The Perl work is web application development and also some admin
tools. They use templates and have many back end services for the 100+
websites they manage.

Pay is $40-70/hour (DOE), full time, long term contract on 1099.

I have placed 8 Perl developers there and they also need a few more
solid developers (no admin work). The pay range is the same as for the
admin/dev job.

Send your resume (text, html or PDF preferred), your contact info in the
cover letter and samples of your Perl code to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Uri Guttman, The Perl Hunter
