Maybe Dean has some suggestions. This is probably a dumb question, but are you sure you are trying to read the unpacked file and not accidently trying to read the packed copy? I doubt this is it, but I can read bookshare books just fine here, both with speech and in braille on the braillenote. There are occasional junk characters in bookshare books, but it really sounds like your problem is more wide reaching than that. Don
