I cannot find my computer on the network, and I have Windows XP and I do have some things shared as my husband and I often move files back and forth over the network.

You've gotten directions for accesssing a network with your BrailleNote, but do you actually have anything shared on your computer? If not and you don't know how to do this I very possibly can help. Just let me know what version of Windows you are using and whether you have a firewall besides the windows firewall that Windows Xp has built-in. Now if only I knew how to make my husband's computer kindly share with my BrailleNote and computer, but since it is running linux, that is a completely different and unknown procedure--at least to me. I am trying to set up my network so I can reach my computer and not having any luck. I am able to reach my internet and e-mail but I just cannot seem to figure out how I can get to my computer. I do, I think have an IP address, a 192 number, or two but I am not having any luck, it keeps telling me domain name not found, but then I don't even know if I am going about this the right way. I read and reread the chapter on connectivity, especially the wireless which is how I am trying this. I don't find anything regarding this particular situation. So, I then went to the file manager and to the network card drive and try to fill in the information but this is where it keeps telling me it is incorrect. We don't have an actual server, just two computers on a router. Please help!
