Hi Alex,

Further to Joseph's email, when you want to use the port for the remote
synthesizer, you can turn Activesync connectivity to the serial port by
going to file/connection settings.

This will free up the port, though you'll need to go to remote synthesizer
mode on the BrailleNote and then load Jaws again so that the appropriate
drivers are loaded.
