The record and reset buttons reset is known as the Engineer's Reset or Service Reset. Originally it was recommended to be done only at the request of a Humanware technical support person. It is the most thorough reset available to the user. When your unit requires resetting, it pays to try the resets in the following order: Simple reset: reset button only. 123 reset: reset button and dots 123 or the sdf keys on a qt keyboard. 456 reset: reset button plus the 456 keys or the jkl keys on a qt keyboard.
