The router is meant only for DSL services i guess.
For dial up connections you use the internal modems built in BN units.

Dear Richard,

Please forgive my ignornce. However, I've seen this topic before and am still at a loss! Specifically, don't you have to have DSL or Cable service (such as Comcast) to use a router? (You are both speaking of screen readgers for a PC. I only have a BN M-Power. Would I benefit from having a Linksys router, since I have no cable service or DSL?
