David (the scripter),
It is located at the HumanWare website.
Click search, and type "JAWS PC Keyboard
Emulator" at the edit field. It should
present the corhhct document with the link
for that zip file.

Joseph

rose,
Did you selected the correct com port?
Bluetooth should say something like, "Com3."
Under add Braille Display dialog, under com
port list, select the correct com port. Then
it should work.
Also, you should have copied the hooks
(Keyboard Emulator) file onto the program
directory in order for JAWS to recognize it.
Does PDI Hooks appear on the System Tray?
HTH,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Bluetooth and braille
display.
I was under the impression that one could
pair the braille note with a PC
and use it as a braille display through
bluetooth. I have the keyboard
emulator instilled in Jaws 8 in the personal
scripts folder (please don't
ask for the full path I did it using explore
from the Jaws menu so they
should be there). I installed the software
that came with the blue tooth
adapter, and can see the computer when I
search for devices but I cannot
seem to get the terminal to work.
My husband actually managed to access the
favorites on the braille note
which brought up key web, not exactly what I
wanted but we could not repeat
that and although it says it is paired, I
cannot use the braille display.
The manual seems to not mention the display
part at all under the topic of
bluetooth.
This and how to make my computer visible on
the BN are the only two quirky
things I have not ever managed to get working
and it is frustrating.
My two computers do not have serial ports,
although I do have one serial to
USB adapter, I was hoping to use the display
without cabling if possible.
I have Jaws 8, Keysoft 7.2 build 47 and the
keyboard emulator files off
HumanWare site. Bluetooth is on com 4 on the
laptop.
