I believe you are correct in that many people are using other things for email. Probably, they are like me and use both the computer and the BN but that most of their email comes through the computer. With the BN, it is easy to remember to send it to both the sender and the list because it always asks this question when you are replying.
All of the listservs that I am currently on have the proper settings for their topics. If they are lists where the sharing of information is important for that specific topic (i.e. different types of technology or like the blind student list) then it automatically goes to all. Then if it is a subject where it is not important for all list members to see the answer, then it goes directly to the sender. It dawned on me that most of you, I don't believe, anyway use your BN/VN to do email. I am curious as to whether that is true or not. I was looking back on some previous messages, and I think those of us using our equipment to do email may be in the minority. I also thought about a dumb statement I made about going over to the "forward" prompt. You have to write in the BrailleNote list address every time. I would guess many people would rather not. This must be a day for my curiosity to be up, <grin>. ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender. If your reply would be useful to the list, please send a copy to the list as well.
