Michele,

You are correct the USB port will function like the CompactFlash, PCMCIA slot, or the SD slot and recognize drives automatically. You might want to try installing the USB driver that that is now available on the HumanWare website, this allows the ability to use a wider range of USB devices and some drives are recognized more quickly. If you are interested in this driver, please email me off-list.

Subject: [Braillenote] MPOWER USB Ports

Hi Gang. I am currently borrowing an MPOWER while my BN Classic is being upgraded. Whilst trying to assist a friend with an assignment, I attempted to make use of the USB pots, but could not get the USB stick to show up in the driver list. There wasn't even a message to say that there was an extra drived inserted.

Am I missing something? Does the USB capability have to be enabled or should it show up like when entered a compact flash card?

Thanks.

Michele
