When you say 'format markers', I assume you mean the edp sign
that means a new line. If so:
1. From in any document or email, go to options > Braille display
options.
2. Set the "show new lines as" option to your choice. The default
is "linear format", but the other options are indent 1 or 2 cells
or show as 1, 2, or 3 spaces. Select the one that is most
comfortable (I like "indent one cell").

Hi all,

This is probably a goofy question but here goes anyway.

The BN is my first experience with any kind of electronic braille
output. When I am reading a book or an e-mail or a document just
using braille, the format markers slow me down and tend to
confuse me.  Is there any way to have the BN display just the
text and not the format markers?  Thanks for any help.
