Hi folks,
I'm not going to do this, but I think that a careful search of the
list archives will yield a message from hw which says that 8.0 will be
the last release for the classics. I seem to recall this, possibly
announced when 7.0 was released.
Maurice, I think the trouble here is that, for those of us with good
memories, it seems that hw is changing their minds at this point,
saying a few months ago that 8.0 would be the last, now saying that
7.5 will be the last.
I have an MPpower so I'm not stressed, but those of you with classics,
and no way to upgrade them now should certainly do a search and hold
hw's feet to the fire if indeed an hw employee said 8.0 would be the
last for the classics.
