Hello Ms. Collins,
A well thought out and calm, yet compassionately written message. I too have the BrailleNote MPower and am waiting to see which of the things in 7.5 will be of use to me. , However, I am extremely curious to know whether or not Humanware will let classic users have the promised word encryption as a patch. It seems only fair to me to allow them this one small concession. after all, many Braille and Voice note Classic owners just can't afford the suggested transplant at this time.

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] KeySoft 7.5 Release

Hi Maurice and All,

Perhaps it was your statement in May of this year about hoping to
have both
the
Word and SSL email encryption in the same release, not to mention
your
comments of last November about HW working on KS 8, that now lead
folks to
think/hope that KS 7.5 might not be the last release for the
classics after
all.
I mean, since, according to your earlier message about this
upgrade being
released
now to meet the SSL email encryption deadline, perhaps some were
hoping that
the classic folks wouldn't have to miss out on getting the Word
support
because of something beyond their control that ISP's are doing.

Anyway, although I myself with an mPower and a PK don't have to
worry about
this particular issue, I can't help but think that the classic
folks deserve
more than a message essentially saying to just read the web site.
True,
maybe there is
not much HW can do for the classic folks, as there is only so
much room and
memory in those units; however, if nothing else, maybe just a bit
more of an explanation could have been given to the classic
users.
