But now i have to set it up at my school I probably have to go to my adminitrater. In my home configuration i have set an ip address which doesn't get used but i don't think that's going to be the case in school. is there no wan i can set it so it gets an ip address automatically. when i set the obtain an ip address automatically at home it didn't work. thanks

Subject: [Braillenote] ethernet connection
problem

Hello list

I have just purchased a socket ethernet card.
when i put it in i
hear network card ready. It is ok up to
here. I have created a
connection from connectivity menu by creating
a lan or dialup
connection. I just entered the name i wanted
to give and pressed
space with dots 2-6 to add the record. Now
when i go to keyweb
and use that connection i get a cannot find
server message.
Can someone tell me why this is happening?
thanks
