Well I finally found a bit in one of the manuals that states that the Braillnote and Voicenote does not support WPA. So I guess that is that - there seems no way I can use it for wireless connection.
I have to say I am not too impressed with this gadget. I have had it for a few years and never really got to grips with it. The software interface is clunky and so far all the advertised connectivity features have failed for some reason or another. Whoever built the hardware did a really food job - it is robust abd well designed but the software lets it down. I have revisited using the device half a dozen times but I think I am finally ready to give up and go for a small mainstream laptop that I can adapt. I have heard good things about the ICON but I think I need to stay clear of gadgets designed for the accessibility market. To do this, hold down dots 4-5, or press j-k if you're using a QT, whilst pressing the reset button. Let go after you hear the last of the 5 tones. Hope that helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "william lomas" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, December 03, 2007 10:08 PM Subject: [Braillenote] wierd > hi all > > > ok when i put the nk.bin file onto my cf card for the latest build i > can't run it fromt he utilities, applications menu the braillenote > doesn't see it on my card > > > ___ > Replies to this message will go directly to the sender. > If your reply would be useful to the list, please send a > copy to the list as well. > > To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit > http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote > ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender.
