Your comment that the network can be changed to WEP from WPA
security is true, but only if Graham owns or controls the
wireless network he wants to use.

Unfortunately, he doesn't!

It belongs to either his employer or school far as I know.

Not sure if a network can be configured to permit either WPA or
WEP security, at the user's option.  Don't think I've ever heard
of this being done.
