The network administrator would be the person who is in charge of the network you're trying to use. For example, in my town, the library has free internet. After showing my library card, I was given the WEP key. It's a series of letters and numbers that you must enter in when you get to the place in the connection configuration where it asks if you need WEP. If you type in y, then you will be asked for the WEP key. You write in those letters and numbers that you have been given by the administrator of the network--in my example, the lady at the desk at the library. She might not be the network administrator, but she's been given that info by the network administrator. There are actually a lot of sites that do not ask for a WEP key. Most of the RV parks, for instance that we have visited, don't have a wep key. That means that I might not want to do banking or something like that on that site, but it's fine for doing my email, or downloading books from bookshare. When we get Internet at our trailer, we will put in a WEP key so that others around us can't get get on to our Internet server. Basically we don't want them to slow down our connection because of their use. Hope this helps. Debby and Cleo
