I have no problem with the current setup I find it quite easy to reply or forward a message. When the message is open I hit control enter, sorry I can't remember the BT command it has been so long since I used my PK. Then I hit R for reply or F for forward and after that it is only a short time before you are in the body of the message. If you are replying you just need to answer the couple of questions about if to reply to the sender only then you need to say if you want the original message. When you are forwarding you just have to go through who the message is going to.
So I don't think this is to hard and there isn't really a quicker way it could be done considering how little amount of keys you have on a BT keyboard.

I guess that gives you a picture of what we discussed today. Many people say that it was productive - sure it was fun and productive.
