The commands are not all that different. I have students using the QT keyboard for the same reason you have stated. The only drawback to the physical layout is the size of the keyboard. My students have gotten used to it though. Maybe others on this list could shed more light on this matter. I use a BT keyboard so my judgement would not be fair since I have not used a QT keyboard for any extended time.

I've been looking at various devices. I would want something with a QWERTY keyboard. The Icon seems to have application glitches in the bookshelf, the PACmate is just plain unstable, and I would have to take out a contract to use a device with Mobile Speak Pocket because standalone PDAs on the sighted market are disappearing. So here's what I want to know. I have worked with a BrailleNote BT, but I'm far more proficient at the QT. How does the command structure between the BT & QT differ? It seems like not all the commands are the same, and I can undertand why, but is the learning curve significant? Also, has anyone tried to communicate with a Macintosh in terms of, say, using the BN as a removable flash disk? I think that this is the only PDA, however, that can't do that. Thanks in advance for your help. ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender. If your reply would be useful to the list, please send a copy to the list as well.
