Excuse me! It is important for some of us to be able to use Word documents
and if this is a Microsoft problem why are nother note-takers working with
Word. I don't accept the notion that HW can do nothing because Microsoft
crated the problem. This has been an issue forever, and it is making me
consider options as my braille note ages despite the fact that I truly like
the product for most things.

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] BN with Word 2007

Hi Rose:

As you and the others have hbeen told before on the BN list, Word Support is
a Microsoft problem, not a Humanware problem. While frustrating, I am not
sure how much relatively small Humanware can do to force Big Bad Microsoft's
hand to provide better word support. What users of any word version can
always do is save documents into RTF format from the computer or export them
to RTF from the BN. This can be done regardless which version of word you
are using. RTF documents can be opened in any version of word, or, imported
to the BN very easily.

BTW, I have very few problems with accessing documents created in Word XP or
Word 2003.
