Hi, I have had the same problem with a wireless network near my
house. I have fixed it by changing the settings in wireless
options. I'm not sure what change fixed it now but here is my
settings:
notify when new networks are available? no
Automatically connect to non preferred networks? no
types of networks to access? access points only.
Of course these need to be changed if you take your machine away
from home and want to search for wireless networks. But
hopefully it will fix your problem at home.

Hello all,
I have a question regarding sending from a specifically indicated
connection. I will tell my Voicenote to send from my WIFI card
which I call
wireless. Most of the time it will do that but sometimes instead
of sending
from the WIFI card (called wireless), it will scan for a network
even though
I have not told it to do so and pick up an unsecured network in
our condo
building. We have our connection set up on a router which is
secured by a
WEP code. The other connection that shows up is obviously
unsecured and we
don't know whose connection it is either.
What causes the WIFI card to do this and will this issue, if
it is a bug,
be fixed in the next release? I don't remember the brand of our
router but
that will be replaced shortly anyway as the current routher is an
older
router.
