Paul,

If you know someone who is electronics repair savvy, you can have a new tip put on that adapter. I paid someone $10 to do one of mine. That beats the cost of a new one.

Hello,

I touched the tip of the ac adapter with my tung and it seems like it fixed it. I can't say for sure, however.

So for now, hopefuly it's not broke.

hi paul,
with the ac adaptor still plugged in to the power socket on the
wall and switched on, pull the adaptor out of your bn, and touch
the tip with your tongue.
if you don't feel any power, the adaptor is not working
