Hi Chanelle and list

I found that copying the individual address list files did not work because
none of the records copied across. A more effective way is to copy the
entire Keylist folder from the CF card to the PK.

So, if you copy the Keylist folder from your classic to a CF card, then copy
that folder onto your PK everything should work fine. Just agree to
replacing any files that already exist.

By the way, it doesn't matter if you are running different versions on the
Classic and PK. I've done it between versions and all my addresses copied
across perfectly.

Hope it works, and enjoy your new PK!
Kylie

toPKand Oxford Dictionary

Hello Chanelle, and welcome to the list.
First of all, what are your versions of both units? If they are
the same versions, you can do what you want. The one you want to
copy is the address.cdb file. I would copy it to a compact flash
card. Then, from main Menu, press F, M. At your drive prompt,
go to the compact flash card. If it is in "none", press Enter.
Space once to get to the "list of files" prompt. Press Space
with X until you see "hidden files." Go to the address.cdb file
and press Enter. Then, go to the Keylist file. You may get
"file already exists, replace? You would press Y for yes. There
is a chance that this file will protect itself. To check it out,
go to the address list. If you get "access is denied", you'll
know it is protected: Then, you would go to Main menu. Press F
for file. P for protect. You'll see "protect file on which
drive?" You'll go to the Flash drive, and to the Keylist file.
Again, press Enter. Space once to get to the "list of files"
prompt. Press Space with X until you see "hidden files." When
you see address.cdb, press Enter. It will tell you that the file
is protected. Press U to unprotect.
As far as the dictionary, it will not work on the PK, unless
you purchased another dictionary. It only works with the product
key it was purchased under.

Blessings to you, and again, welcome. Hope some of this made
sense.
