It means English language, and there is no getting rid of it. Welcome to another bug in ks7.5.x+.

Have a great day,

Subject: [Braillenote] What does this symbol mean?

Hi,
When I enter a .doc or .rtf file, this symbol always appears
before the text. The symbol is a dollar sign followed by an l
and a g. The text is always displayed in computer braille when
my preferred reading grade is grade 2. How do I fix this, and
what does this symbol mean?
Randie
