Hi, another option is to use your families Internet through their computer.
All you need is the USB cable that came with your BN and for the PC to have
Active Sync installed. Then you set up a connection with active sync and
then connect to the Internet on the BN. As long as the PC is also connected
to the Internet then you can check your mail and go on the Internet. OF
course you need to set up a connection configuration using the USB cable. I
use to do this all the time with my Uncle's PC but now he has wireless so I
don't need it anymore. My uncle was using dial up which worked fine and
someone could also be on the PC at the same time using the net it just
slowed things down a bit.

Hope this helps,

You can use the connection of the people you are visiting, though
you cannot just plug into the bn directly; you must first
purchase a LAN card from Humanware, though I cannot remember the
model number. Most dsl providers can give you some hours of
dialup per month for cases just as you described, though this
will vary from provider to provider. HTH, and let me know if you
would like more information on anything; this response seems
rather short compared to your message, and I cannot help but feel
that I forgot something.

Have a great day,
Alex
